Help: 0333 003 0580) All Together Now by The Peace Collective will be played this Sunday at Wembley Stadium, where England women face European champions Germany in an international friendly (kick off 3pm). Twice a Top 5 hit for The Farm (in 1990 and in 2004), All Together Now has been re-recorded by a host of music stars to mark the 100th anniversary of the Christmas Day Truce during World War One, the events of which inspired the song. All profits from the release, out December 15th, will go to the British Red Cross and the Shorncliffe Trust. Artists added to The Peace Collective since the original announcement earlier this month include Julian Lennon, David Gray, Clean Bandit, Leo Sayer, Paul Potts, Dionne Bromfield, Jona Lewie, Suzi Quatro, Garry Christian, Matthew Murphy (The Wombats), Tommy Scott (Space), and Dave McCabe (The Zutons), who join Alexandra Burke, Guy Chambers, Gorgon City, Gabrielle, The Proclaimers, Engelbert Humperdinck, Holly Johnson, John Power (Cast), Jah Wobble (PiL), Jane McDonald, I Am Kloot, Shara Nelson (Massive Attack), Amelle Berrabah (Sugababes), the winner of The Voice 2014 Jermain Jackman, and The Farm themselves on the new recording. The track features a backing choir of sixty schoolboy footballers from the Premier League and German Bundesliga, with strings and brass provided by the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA). The new recording was produced by Simon Britton and Jon Moon, and executively produced by Suggs (Madness) and Mick Jones (The Clash). “I’m really proud to be part of such an important record,” says Engelbert Humperdinck, who flew to London from California to record his vocals. “All Together Now is a such a powerful song, its message of peace and reconciliation is as relevant today as ever. I hope everyone who enjoys the new version will buy it and help these two wonderful causes, the British Red Cross and the Shorncliffe Trust.” Adds Julian Lennon, “It is my great pleasure in continuing to support the Red Cross and to be part of a wonderful charitable cause at Christmas.
